After so many rap artists boycotting, the 2019 Grammys were forced to change and give a little spotlight to a Rap categories. In the past few years, Rap categories’ winners were announced at the pre-Grammy show. This time, “Best Rap Song” and “Best Rap Album” were announced during the main show.

Eminem and Joyner Lucas’ “Lucky You” was up against Drake’s “God’s Plan,” Kendrick Lamar, Jay Rock, Future and James Blake’s “King’s Dead,” Travis Scott’s “SICKO MODE” and “Win” by Jay Rock in Best Rap Song category and Drake took home the award.

Elsewhere, it’s great to see Dr. Dre’s protegees Anderson .Paak and Kendrick Lamar winning “Best Rap Performance” award with two different songs. You can check other rap category winners below:
