DJ Akademiks says Eminem is planning to release another song aimed at Joe Budden

A couple days after rap fans claimed Eminem dissed him on his “Chloraseptic (Remix),” Joe Budden isn’t buying into the hype. During the latest edition of his Joe Budden Podcast, Joe praises Em’s latest verse on the “Chloraseptic (Remix),” but doesn’t believe the Shady Records boss was throwing shots his way despite Bizarre’s claims.

“So here’s my question: Why do people think Eminem is talking about me?” Budden asks his show co-hosts on the podcast. Budden goes on to say he’s confused as to why people would think he’s dissing Em and explains that he was actually defending Em’s Revival tracklist when he and his co-hosts discussed it on his podcast, and when he and DJ Akademiks talked about it on Everyday Struggle.

Now, getting to the bottom of which of Budden’s comments Em could have taken offense to has been sort of difficult, since there are are a few instances of a Budden speaking on the project. One that appears like an especially good candidate comes on one of Budden’s final appearances on the Complex-produced series.

“Not as raw as I was, ‘Walk on Water’ sucks?/Bitch, suck my dick/Y’all saw the tracklist and had a fit ’fore you heard it/So you formed your verdict/While you sat with your arms crossed/Did your little reaction videos and talked over songs (chill!)/Nah, dog, y’all sayin’ I lost it, your fuckin’ marbles are gone,” Em spits on the remix, which, again, Budden says is dope.

On Dec. 6, 2017, there was literally an Everyday Struggle episode titled Is “Eminem’s ‘Revival’ Tracklist Fire or Trash,” and in it, DJ Akademiks and Budden debate over whether or not Em’s Revival tracklist looks promising. In this bit, Budden seemingly explains how normal people might perceive Em’s Revival tracklist without having the benefit of hearing the songs on it. He uses some harsh words to make his point.

“The second track is called ‘Believe,'” Budden said. “So now, if I’m looking at how you rolled this out with your little Revival thing, if I’m thinking about the last one, and the Recovery, if I’m just looking at now, I’m looking at the last 10 years of your career—oh, okay. You’re doing more than creating an album, you’re telling a story, now. So now, how I judge it is a little different. I have to wait and see what story you’re telling. Now I gotta see how Ed Sheeran fits in your story. I gotta see how the fuck P!nk, my nigga, fits in your story. I don’t know how Phresher—I don’t know how any of these people fit in what you are seeing. And from what I know, Em, it sounds trash. Even though it didn’t come with audio, we’re looking at it, and the common folk are saying, ‘This looks trash.'”

That feels like it would be the most likely cause of Em’s Budden-focused bars—if, he is, indeed talking about him. In another episode of Everyday Struggle on Dec. 13, 2017, Budden also called Em’s Revival single, “Untouchable,” trash.

Now, back to Budden’s most recent podcast. In it, he explains that he hadn’t even listened to Revival up to this point, so he couldn’t have had anything bad to say about it.

“I couldn’t have trashed the album I never heard, and I was the lone person defending the tracklist,” Budden offers. Throughout the rest of Budden’s podcast, he pokes fun at the idea of jumping into a beef with Bizarre, whom he says is a cool dude but is leaping into a conflict he has no business being in.

Budden also praises Em’s “Chloraseptic (Remix)” verse while saying 2 Chainz and Phresher did their thing on the track. “I don’t think that Em was talking to me, No. 1, but boy did he kill that verse,” Budden casually proclaims. “Goddamn he killed that verse.”

Now Dj Akademiks is claiming that Eminem is going to release another song aimed at Joe Budden. Listen to his stuttering below:
