Eminem’s highly anticipated gig at Bellahouston Park is just around the corner. Fans are counting down the days, hours, minutes and seconds till the real Slim Shady takes to the stage as part of Glasgow Summer Sessions this Thursday (August 24).
Here’s our rundown of everything you need to know ahead of the Rap God’s gig’.
1. Are there any tickets left?
Tickets unfortunately are sold out. We don’t condone buying from touts, but the option of scrolling thorugh Twitter this week or hanging around Bellahouston Park on Thursday afternoon is always an option.
2. When do doors open to the public?
Doors open at 5pm with the opening act kicking off at 5.40pm. The gig is expected to finish bat 11pm.
3. When will the set list be published?
There is no set list as of yet. Glasgow Summer Session’s Twitter account should post the full list within the next day or two.
4. Is there an official pick up and drop off point?
Police from Glasgow South West posted an announcement on social media that there will be a pick up and drop off area for the gig on Hinshelwood Drive.
5. Will extra public transport be put in place?
Extra ScotRail services will be running to cater to the number of fans travelling to and from Bellahouston Park. Visit the ScotRail website for full timetable information.
6. Are there any after parties?
Glasgow Live revealed that The Garage will be hosting an after party from 11pm till 3pm in its Desperados Bar, playing the rapper’s greatest hits all night long. All are welcome but those who show their ticket stub get in for free – result!
7. What about a warm up party?
Of course there’s a warm up party. Those of you who are after an all day sesh should head to the Hard Rock Cafe on Buchannan Street. With Eminem themed menus and a DJ set inspired by the man himself we think this looks like a cracking way to kick off the night.
