Tech N9ne Plans New Song with Eminem, Says Eminem’s ‘Speedom’ Verse was ‘Astronomical’

Legendary underground rap duo Tech N9ne and Krizz Kaliko returned to the Go 95.3 studios to chop it up with Mr. Peter Parker after a meet and greet with fans. The three longtime friends dished on the friendly competition between Strange Music MC’s, and why they can’t shake their respective perfectionist streaks, even when working with major collaborators like Kendrick, Eminem, Slipknot’s Corey Taylor, and Gary Clark Jr.

Tech also shares some inside info on engineering features, teases his forthcoming solo album Planet, and talks about getting unlikely inspiration from Billy Joel and Elton John.

Tech N9ne on “Speedom”:

“I feel like Eminem said ‘my spot is forever reserved.’ I feel like the same way. When we send the ‘Speedom’ out to Eminem, we sent him our best so he can do his best and what he did was astronomical.”

Tech N9ne on his upcoming album “Planet”:

“I have a big idea of me, Eminem and Billy Joel on this new record. I have not said this to nobody yet.”

Tech N9ne on Eminem:

“People say he’s not [old] Marshall Mathers anymore but he’s still murdering everything.”
