Eminem’s daughter Hailie Jade Mathers (USA) (born 25 December 1995) became the youngest performer, aged 6 years and 210 days, to be credited with an R&B hit when “My Dad’s Gone Crazy” (off The Eminem Show) charted in August 2002. She performed on the track with her father, Eminem.
Eminem says that he let Hailie come to the studio with him one day, she said “My dad’s gone crazy” into the mic, and he decided to put it into one of his songs. He was highly criticized for putting his young daughter’s voice into a song with such vulgar language, but in his defense, Hailie Jade Mathers was not present during the recording of the actual song, she merely provided inspiration.
In his autobiography, Eminem revealed that Hailie said her famous line after he had been chasing her around the studio. (Book: The Way I Am, page. 165.)
Eminem himself holds Guinness World Record for the most words in a hit single with “Rap God” and he is the fastest selling rapper of all time (MMLP sold 1.76 million copies in the first week in US.)
