10. Slaughterhouse – “Glass House”
It has been 6 years since Slaughterhouse got signed to Shady Records and they only released one album. In 2015, Joell Ortiz told to HipHopDX: “Everything is smooth. We got announcements coming soon. 5. Dr. Dre – N/A
Let’s be honest. Detox will never be released but Dr Dre premiered lots of new music on his Pharmacy Show in 2015 and 2016. There are lots of things coming out, regarding to Dre, in 2017. HBO will release the 4-part-documentary about Dre and we might get new soundtrack music. He, reportedly, is working on a soundtrack album for Vital Signs TV series. In early 2016, Rolling Stone magazine also reported that Dre is releasing the second CD of Straight Outta Compton , called Straight Outta Compton: Original Motion Picture Score, which includes a song called “Detroit.” There is also a lot of talks about the world tour with Eminem, Snoop Dogg and Kendrick Lamar. 2. Bad Meets Evil – N/A
In 2016, Royce Da 5’9″ answered the questions on YouTube live session, where he said: “I 100% want to do another Bad Meets Evil album… When we first did the very first shit back in ’98, we were just around each other and was nothing going on those couple of days we just recorded some shit because we wanted to stay sharp and we ended coming up with something that we felt was cool. Which is exactly what what happened when we did Bad Meets Evil EP a few years back. I went to Eminem with a couple of songs that I had for my solo shit, I asked him to get on some shit and we ended up with 6-7 songs. That’s what happened you can’t let MCs sit around. It might happen, who knows.” C’mon Em! Please do it!
1. Eminem – N/A
“Don’t worry I’m working on an album!” Eminem tweeted back in October. The song he released with that tweet, the seven-plus-minute, mostly acapella “Campaign Speech,” met mixed reviews, but it showed Em could still rap his ass off, and could still shock and offend listeners. The stakes are high for Em to shake off the rust and deliver on this album—he’s several years and dozens of songs removed from his untouchable early 2000s peak. But as long as it includes at least one jaw-dropping “Rap God” standout moment, his legacy will be just fine.” says Alex Gale. So, yeah. Eminem is number one on our most anticipated albums of 2017.
