Dr. Dre Will Produce Original Music for Adaptation of Graphic Novel “Loaded”

Dr. Dre is producing original music for the adaptation of the graphic novel LOADED, according to a press release exclusive to HipHopDX.

The rapper-producer’s first wave of LOADED work will feature him working on an audio accompaniment to the book, which is slated for a fourth quarter 2016 release.

“I’m excited to work with Mark on the music for LOADED. When he gave me the book, I immediately fell in love with the story, so I’m honored that he asked me to be a part of the process.” says Dr Dre.

Dr. Dre and Mark Batson have worked on material for Eminem, Gwen Stefani, 50 Cent and The Game during the last decade-plus.

David C. Wilson (The Man From U.N.C.L.E., The Thomas Crown Affair) has come aboard to flesh out a television adaptation of LOADED. The in-development series is set to focus on the perspective of the female assassin Sinthia Warren, aka Sin, who is also Washington, D.C.’s most respected dominatrix. Dre and Batson are also scheduled to produce original music for the series that features A-list artists.

LOADED was given as a gift to presenters and performers at the 2014 GRAMMY Awards as well as presenters and winners of the 2014 Academy Awards.
