On This Day, 13 Years Ago, Eminem Released “Sing For The Moment”


Today, exactly 13 years ago (February 25, 2003), Eminem released “Sing For The Moment” as a single off The Eminem Show. The song uses the chorus and melody of “Dream On” by American rock band Aerosmith:

“Sing for the Moment” received positive reviews from music critics, with many critics praising Eminem’s rapping ability, the lyrics, and the “Dream On” sample.

Surprisingly, Portugal is the only country in which the song reached #1 in the charts. It peaked inside the Top 10 in twenty different countries, including: Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Switzerland and United Kingdom. The song reached #14 in the United States.
