The Eminem Show Turns 13


On this day, exactly 13 years ago (May 23, 2015)  Eminem released another classic album The Eminem Show with the singles Without Me (Lead Single), Cleanin’ Out My Closet, Superman and Sing For The Moment. 

The album debuted at number one in 30 different countries including US Billboard 200 with 1,322,000 copies sold in the first week. In 2011 it was certified ten times platinum (10 Million sold in US), making Eminem first rap artist to receive two diamond certification (The Marshall Mathers LP sold more than 11 Million). The Eminem Show has sold more than 30 million copies worldwide to date. It is the second best selling rap album of all time (After The Marshall Mathers LP).  and best selling album of 2002 in the United States with 7.7 Million copies sold.

The Eminem Show received generally positive reviews from critics. It has the average score of 75 points out of 100. Pitchfork magazine gave it the maximum 91 points out of 100 and the lowest score of 20 out of 100 from Salon. The Album was included Rolling Stone’s 500 Greatest Albums of All Times . The Eminem Show won Grammy award for the Best Rap Album and was nominated for the Album of the Year.
